Ringwood
Victorian Solo Drumming Championship and Drumming Recital
This event is held in April and it is a requirement that all attendees pre- enter online before the event. It is run throughout the afternoon and is held at the Ringwood RSL, Station Street Ringwood. It is open to Snare, Tenor and Bass Drum competitors.
Horsham Solo Drumming Competition
This event is held in October and runs throughout the afternoon. The venue is Wesley Entertainment Centre, Roberts Avenue Horsham. It is open to Snare, Tenor and Bass Drummers from Beginner to Open competitors.
Scotch College Solo Drumming and Mini-Band Competition
This Solo Drumming Competition commences in the morning due to the Mini-Band Competition which runs following the completion of the Solo Drumming Competition. It is open to Learner Pad Drummers, Elementary Snare and Tenor Drummers, Sub-Intermediate Snare Drummers, Intermediate Snare Drummers, Open Snare, Tenor and Bass Drummers. Prizes will be cash for all Grades. Competitors are required to compete with at least one piper, except learner pad drummers who shall have at least one practice chanter player.
Note that this will be the second competition for the 2010/2011 season and points will be awarded for the Aggregated Solo Competition with 5 points for 1st place, three points for 2nd place and one point for 3rd place.
Following this Competition, the Mini-Band Competition will commence at 1pm.
It is held at Scotch College, Morrison Street, Hawthorn, 3122 (in Science Lecture Theatre). Melway ref 59 B1
